A sleep tracker that tells naps from nights
Sleep is the number everyone asks about and nobody can remember. Holababy keeps it: when the nap started, how long it ran, and how the week is going, on every phone in the family.
Start the timer, put the baby down
Tap Sleep when the eyes close and the timer runs until someone taps it again, on any phone. The Now screen shows the current nap counting up, so the person who walks in knows whether to tiptoe.
Night sleep is counted from 7 pm to 7 am and shown apart from daytime naps, in a different colour chosen to stay distinct for colour-blind readers. A night with three wakings looks like one, not like a good night.
Totals by day, patterns by week
Each day shows total sleep, naps, and night sleep. The calendar shows the month and the week, and the charts show a seven-day trend, so a rough week is visible as a shape rather than a feeling.
Logged by whoever did bedtime
Co-parents, a nanny, or a grandparent on sleepover duty log into the same baby. Grandparents who would rather just watch can follow along as cheerleaders, read-only. Everyone sees the same night in the morning.
- Naps and night sleep, told apart at 7 pm and 7 am
- Timers that keep running when the app is closed
- Daily totals, calendar, and seven-day trends
- A screen that dims after sunset for the midnight log
Questions
- What counts as night sleep?
- Sleep between 7 pm and 7 am, in the phone's time zone. Everything else is a nap. Charts show the two separately.
- What if I forget to stop the timer?
- Stop it when you notice and edit the end time. Entries can be corrected or undone at any point.
- Is there any sleep advice?
- No. Holababy records what happened and shows the pattern. What to do about it is between you and your pediatrician.
